Times are drastically changing. As the tragic toll of COVID-19 grows daily, the pandemic is upending how people live and work around the world. At Optimizely, our hearts go out to all those who have fallen ill to the virus and to their families, and to the brave healthcare workers on the front lines. Our nonprofits, medical professionals, and communities are taking on the world’s most critical work. We are committed to supporting our employees, customers, and the community at this difficult time.  

As CEO, the health and safety of our global employees is my top priority. We’ve all been working from home since March 13 and adjusting to a new way of doing business. I’m proud of the way our people are adapting, especially those with children at home. We are also continuing to pay our catering, security and other hourly service workers. 

We’re stepping up to help the broader community. COVID-19 has meant canceled fundraising events and lost volunteers for many nonprofits at a time of increased need for services. More than ever, charities are turning to their online touchpoints to engage their supporters. To help, we’re offering Optimizely for 6 months free for eligible nonprofits not yet using our products to help optimize signups, donations, and online experiences. 

Our employees are doing their part by supporting local businesses with gift cards and take-out orders, checking in with elderly neighbors and donating blood. Optimizely is raising money for the food banks in each of the cities where we operate and will continue to collect donations for charities working on the front line of the pandemic.

We’re also providing support and guidance to our customers on how to use Optimizely during this uncertain time, including how to use extensions to quickly create COVID-19 banner messaging and advice on optimizing experiences for an influx of new online shoppers.

As we all navigate the uncertainty and stress of this historic crisis, Optimizely is prepared to be there for our customers, employees, and community. By working together (at a distance), we can “flatten the curve,” support one another, and help businesses and organizations navigate through this emergency.
